Football Recap: Cummings Takes a Loss

Cummings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Western Alamance Warriors and fell 34-6. The Cavaliers lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 28-21 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Cummings lost, don't look at Jakori McNair. Despite the final result, he rushed for 81 yards on only nine carries, and also threw for 129 yards and one touchdown.

Cummings' loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Western Alamance, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Cummings wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 57-24 defeat against Southern Alamance on the 24th. As for Western Alamance, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-21 loss against Williams on the 24th.
