Baseball Recap: Marion Center Stingers vs. Curwensville Golden Tide
Marion Center couldn't beat Curwensville on Friday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fourth inning. The Stingers came up short against the Golden Tide, falling 20-9. The Stingers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Troy Slovinsky made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Ethan Wells also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Marion Center's record is now 2-13. As for Curwensville, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Coming up, Marion Center will head out to challenge Homer-Center at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Curwensville, they will host Glendale at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Tide are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
