Soccer Game Preview: McDowell vs. Patton

McDowell is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Patton a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The McDowell Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patton Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

McDowell fell victim to T.C. Roberson and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to the Rams. While losing is never fun, McDowell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 427th, while T.C. Roberson are ranked 41st).

Meanwhile, Patton came up short against Polk County on Tuesday, falling 5-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Patton were already down 3-0.

Patton's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for McDowell, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
