Softball Recap: Pacifica Takes a Loss

Pacifica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the San Marcos Royals, falling 8-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tritons of the 7-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Pacifica saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mariah Reyes, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Reyes' first of the season.

Pacifica's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for San Marcos, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-10.

While Pacifica had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
