Basketball Game Preview: Clarkston Angoras vs. Druid Hills Red Devils

Clarkston is 1-9 against Druid Hills since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Clarkston Angoras will face off against the Druid Hills Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Clarkston is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They took a hard 41-27 fall against Tucker.

Despite their loss, Clarkston saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Wanny Gladys, who posted ten points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaiyah Sims, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, Druid Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Marist 82-5. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 469th, while the War Eagles are ranked 12th).

Druid Hills' loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Clarkston, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Everything came up roses for Clarkston against Druid Hills in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 93-20 win. In that contest, Clarkston amassed a halftime lead of 52-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
