Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Missouri HomeSchool). They blew past the Kansas City East Christian Academy Lions 87-61 on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Lions back in December of 2024, they had to take a 63-55 loss.

Despite the defeat, Kansas City East Christian Academy had strong showings from Maddox Carrillo, who went 9-for-19 en route to 20 points along with eight boards and three steals, and Ryder Cartwright, who went 9-for-19 to rack up 22 points and seven rebounds. The matchup was Carrillo's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Brayden Brown was another key player, putting up seven points.

North Missouri HomeSchool now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season.

North Missouri HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kansas City East Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Christ Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 25th.
