Softball Recap: Princeton Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Princeton dropped their record down to 11-6-1 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 17-13 to the Plumas Charter Warriors. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 16-4.

Reyna Sullivan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Wills, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

As for Plumas Charter, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 4-14-1 record. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Plumas Charter's side, Aubrie Schramel was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave Schramel a new career-high. Amaiya Beatty was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Looking ahead, Princeton will take on CORE Butte at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plumas Charter, they have already played their next contest, a 12-2 defeat against Chester on the 30th.
