Baseball Recap: New Holstein Huskies vs. Howards Grove Tigers
New Holstein gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Howards Grove Tigers. For New Holstein, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 loss Howards Grove walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2022.
New Holstein let Austin Kremer and Ben Schroeder loose on the outfield. Kremer went 2-for-3 with four RBI, while Schroeder scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Keaton Wagner, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.
Coincidentally, New Holstein and Howards Grove will both be playing Two Rivers the next time they take the field. Howards Grove will host Two Rivers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while New Holstein will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
