Basketball Recap: Canton Falls Despite Big Games from Monte Whitehead and Ben Fitch

Canton lost against Northeast Bradford back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Canton Warriors fell 58-46 to the Northeast Bradford Panthers. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Canton's loss came despite strong showings from Ben Fitch and Monte Whitehead. Fitch posted 13 points and eight rebounds, while Whitehead went 7 of 10 on his way to 14 points and six boards. The dominant performance also gave Fitch a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Rylan Wesneski, who scored five points.

Canton's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Northeast Bradford, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-7 record.

Canton has already played their next matchup (against North Penn-Liberty), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Northeast Bradford will take on Sayre at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
