Baseball Recap: Cherokee Warriors vs. Sequoyah Chiefs
If Cherokee was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Wheeler last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cherokee Warriors fell just short of the Sequoyah Chiefs by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Chiefs from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.
Cherokee has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Sequoyah's victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Cherokee is facing Wheeler at the right time seeing as Wheeler is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Sequoyah, they will square off against Forsyth Central at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Forsyth Central: 2.6, Sequoyah: 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
