Soccer Recap: Hernando Takes a Loss

After flying high against Central last Wednesday, Hernando came back down to earth. The Hernando Leopards fell 2-0 to the Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes on Friday. The Leopards were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Hernando has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8-1 record this season. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.

Hernando will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. After both having extra time off, Bishop McLaughlin Catholic and Hudson will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Bishop McLaughlin Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.
