Soccer Recap: Waverly Takes a Loss

Waverly lost against Minford back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 10-0 to the Falcons. Kerstyn Stanley was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Waverly's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Minford, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waverly will head out to face off against Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Waverly will be up against Northwest's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.38 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Minford, they will venture away from home to take on Russell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Minford's defense better be ready for this one: Russell have averaged an impressive 5.2 goals per game this season.
