Baseball Game Preview: Brookfield Warriors vs. LaBrae Vikings

For the second straight game, Brookfield will face off against LaBrae. The Warriors will host the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Brookfield: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while LaBrae has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

On Monday, Brookfield wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

For LaBrae's part, Austin Rowe and Landon Brunstetter were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Rowe pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Brunstetter didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Rowe has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Rowe went 2-for-4 with one run and one double, while Brunstetter got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Colton Hall, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Brookfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for LaBrae, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Brookfield has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like LaBrae struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
