Weldon Valley lost against Flagler back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to the Panthers.

Weldon Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of August Filter, who posted 24 points along with five rebounds and five steals, and Josh Wells, who shot 40% from the field to rack up 14 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The game was Filter's eighth in a row with at least 15 points.

Weldon Valley's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Flagler, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Weldon Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mile High Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2026. Flagler will take on Genoa-Hugo/Karval in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Panthers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
