Basketball Game Preview: Oxon Hill Clippers vs. St. Charles

The Oxon Hill Clippers will face off against St. Charles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oxon Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully St. Charles likes a good challenge.

Oxon Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Northern by a score of 70-59. The Clippers haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Nigel Harris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 24 points. William Johns was another key player, posting 16 points.

Meanwhile, St. Charles waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 61-53 victory over the Hornets.

Oxon Hill pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points over those games. As for St. Charles, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.

Oxon Hill came up short against St. Charles in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 67-56. Thankfully for Oxon Hill, Shamir Taylor (who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 13 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
