Basketball Recap: Dublin Scioto Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Dublin Scioto Irish didn't have quite enough to beat the Buckeye Valley Barons and fell 42-40. While losing is never fun, the Irish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 529th, while the Barons are ranked 257th).

Dublin Scioto has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Buckeye Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

When Dublin Scioto and Buckeye Valley next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Dublin Scioto will try to stop Hilliard Darby's nine-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Buckeye Valley will face off against Columbus Academy and their 17-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
