Soccer Recap: Newberry Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Newberry was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Bell back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Newberry Panthers fell just short of the Keystone Heights Indians by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Maximus Dietz and Lucas Nowels scored all three of Newberry's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 34 goals.

Newberry's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3-1. As for Keystone Heights, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4-1.

Newberry wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Oak Hall on the 10th.
