Basketball Recap: Lone Tree Takes a Loss

Lone Tree lost against WACO back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lone Tree Lions took a 48-33 bruising from the WACO Warriors. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lone Tree's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for WACO, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lone Tree Lions take on the Pekin Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pekin will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lone Tree surely won't give up without a fight. As for WACO, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Winfield-Mt. Union at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
