Basketball Recap: Georgetown Day Takes a Loss

Georgetown Day lost against St. Andrew's Episcopal back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers came up short against the St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions, falling 59-37. While losing is never fun, the Mighty Hoppers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 26th in District of Columbia, while the Lions are ranked second in Maryland).

Georgetown Day's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-14. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7.

Georgetown Day will square off against Flint Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Flint Hill's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 17 matches. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they will take on Saint James at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
