Henry Dunne was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Dunne was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ben Blier, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Colt Gage-Adams, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, School Without Walls faced Jackson-Reed in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Penguins fell 5-1 to the Tigers. The Penguins' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Charles Daggett was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he gave up only three walks, the fewest he's had since April 5th.
On the hitting side, School Without Walls saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Lee, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Wednesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Washington Latin Public Charter School has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .492. However, it's not like School Without Walls struggles in that department as they've averaged .474. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
