Volleyball Recap: Park Rapids' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Park Rapids won the last time they faced Lake of the Woods and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bears. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Macey Jalbert paced Park Rapids' offense, picking up seven kills. Jalbert got some help from Maggie Huber and her ten assists. Huber was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Park Rapids' win bumped their record up to 6-21. As for Lake of the Woods, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season.

Park Rapids does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake of the Woods, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley on the 16th.
