Soccer Game Preview: Longmeadow vs. West Springfield + How To Watch

The Longmeadow Lancers are taking a road trip to square off against the West Springfield Terriers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Longmeadow will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Friday, then bounced right back against Ludlow on Monday. The Lancers had just enough and edged out the Lions 5-4. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Longmeadow's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Ludlow are ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, West Springfield kept a clean sheet against Pope Francis Prep on Monday. They came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 2-0.

Longmeadow has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-1-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four matchups. As for West Springfield, their record is now 6-1-4.
