Irwin County waltzed into their contest on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against Charlton County by a score of 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Irwin County also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The result came thanks to Brooklyn Gordon's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Irwin County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brynlee Brown, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double. Emalea Lupo was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Irwin County's record now sits at 9-2. As for Charlton County, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6-1.

Coming up, Irwin County will venture away from home to square off against Valwood at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Valiants have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.33 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Charlton County, they will welcome Atkinson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
