Softball Recap: Hesston Swathers vs. Lyons Lions
Hesston stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past the Lyons Lions 19-1. Hesston's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Hesston got a massive performance out of Karmen Carson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Maci Kramer was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
The win was the fourth in a row for Hesston, bringing their record for this year to 12-2. As for Lyons, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Hesston will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pratt at 4:00 p.m. As for Lyons, they will head out on the road to square off against Haven at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
