Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Academy Falls to Bell in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Cornerstone Academy had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bell Bulldogs.

Cornerstone Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jared Owens, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Whing, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Academy will take on Corinth Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bell, they will square off against Dixie County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
