Baseball Recap: Lewisburg Green Dragons vs. Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES
Lewisburg had lost five straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 3-7-1 to make it six. They lost 12-2 to the Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the RED TORNADOES this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-3 back in March.
Colin Shannon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
As for Mount Carmel, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games.
