Basketball Recap: Logan/Palco Skates Past Lakeside with Ease

Logan/Palco hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They blew past the Lakeside Knights, posting a 45-17 victory. This was payback for Logan/Palco, who suffered a 48-46 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lylah Voss was the offensive standout of the contest as she went 6-for-11 to rack up 16 points and six boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hailey McClurg, who posted seven points and six steals.

Logan/Palco smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 7.1 offensive boards per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 13.4.

Logan/Palco's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Lakeside, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Logan/Palco will venture away from home to face off against Victoria at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakeside, they have already played their next game, a 51-38 victory against Natoma on the 21st.
