A Season-Best  Performance from  Keondrick Melton Leads Washington over Southwest Edgecombe
 Washington was led to victory by  Keondrick Melton, who turned in his biggest game of the season  on Friday. Melton rushed for 227 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry, good enough to  set a new career-high in  rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 69 yards.
 Washington pushed their record up to 4-5 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Melton and Washington will be playing in front of their home fans against Ayden - Grifton  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.

Big Game from Able As Farmville Central Fell 25-22
 Farmville Central had to settle for second  on Friday, but  Elijah Able sure wasn't going down easily. Greene Central had no answer to  Able  as he rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry.
 Able must have Greene Central's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time  Able saw the Rams), he rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown.

Bralan Wilson Delivers Best  Performance of Season
 North Pitt came up short  on Friday despite  Bralan Wilson delivering his best game to date. Wilson rushed for 244 yards while picking up 9.4 yards per carry.
 North Pitt's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. A feisty cat fight will be fought when  Panthers challenges Farmville Central at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.

Famous Wilson Makes It Two for North Pitt
 Another North Pitt player making an appearance on this list is  Famous Wilson. He threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns.

 For the year,  Hall  has averaged 9 total tackles per game  and for the season has 9 sacks. He's  made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year,  he was only averaging 2.1  total tackles per game.
