Basketball Recap: Marion-Franklin Takes a Loss

Marion-Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Eastmoor Academy Warriors, falling 78-57. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 67-49 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Marion-Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Eastmoor Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion-Franklin will face off against West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils will be up against the Cowboys' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Eastmoor Academy, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
