League recap: Taft's hot bat leads Fort Edward

Mike Taft was on fire this week, as he led Section 2 Adirondack - East with a .400 average, one home run and five RBIs. Fort Edward compiled a record of 1-2 in that time.

Sean Morency was the best pitcher in the league this week. He accumulated one win and seven strikeouts.

The Flying Forts' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 39 hits and 22 walks to lead the league in both categories. Fort Edward has given up a mere 136 hits on the year in addition to compiling 95 strikeouts. Morency is the leader in that category with 34 Ks on the season.
