Volleyball Recap: St. John's Comes Up Short

After flying high against Catholic Memorial on Monday, St. John came back down to earth. The Pioneers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. John's Prep Eagles on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

St. John's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-7. As for St. John's Prep, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John's will challenge Newton South at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. John's Prep, they will square off against La Salle Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
