Basketball Recap: Hope Christian Comes Up Short

Hope Christian suffered their closest defeat since December 5, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Del Norte Knights by a score of 46-44. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-44 on February 4th.

Francois Satchivi was his usual excellent self, putting up 15 points and six rebounds for Del Norte. Satchivi's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Gomez, who posted six points.

Hope Christian's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Del Norte, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Hope Christian will challenge Bernalillo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hope Christian is facing Bernalillo at the right time seeing as Bernalillo is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. Del Norte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
