Basketball Game Preview: Plainfield South Cougars vs. Minooka Indians

Having just played yesterday, the Plainfield South Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Minooka Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Plainfield South is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Plainfield South is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since December 29, 2023 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Joliet Central by a score of 57-54.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Minooka's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 51-42 to Bolingbrook.

Plainfield South's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Minooka, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-10.

Plainfield South was able to grind out a solid victory over Minooka when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 65-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plainfield South since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
