Baseball Recap: Fayette Takes a Loss

Fayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Linn Wildcats, falling 9-1.

Fayette saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Oeth, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Oeth's first of the season.

Fayette's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Linn, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayette will head out to face off against Sturgeon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Linn, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Linn Wildcats challenge Calvary Lutheran Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
