After flying high against Eastern on Thursday, Charlestown came back down to earth. The Pirates took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jennings County Panthers on Saturday. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Aleyah Glotzbach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Katie Pickerell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Charlestown's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Jennings County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-10.
