Basketball Game Preview: Reeves Raiders vs. Kinder Yellowjackets + Official Tickets

The Reeves Raiders are taking a road trip to square off against the Kinder Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kinder took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Reeves, who comes in off a win.

Reeves' tournament run continued when they took on St. Louis Catholic on Tuesday. The Raiders were the clear victors by an 80-54 margin over the Saints. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Reeves got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylee Richard out in front who posted 25 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Richard has posted since back in December of 2024. Kinley Smith was another key player, shooting 43% from the field on her way to 14 points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Meanwhile, Kinder suffered their biggest defeat since January 31st on Tuesday. They were beaten by North Vermilion 60-23. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Yellowjackets' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Reeves is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Kinder, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Reeves was able to grind out a solid victory over Kinder in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 65-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
