Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Cedar Springs' Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Cedar Springs proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 37) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Allendale Falcons out 50-47. Given the Red Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Falcons are ranked 373rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cedar Springs has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Allendale, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Kenowa Hills the next time they take the court. Allendale will host Kenowa Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Cedar Springs will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
