Basketball Recap: Rock Creek Academy Falls to Henryville in First Game of Season

Rock Creek Academy had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. The contest between the Lions and the Henryville Hornets didn't end well, with the Lions falling 71-52. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Henryville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Manon Gant, who almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine steals. Wyatt Owens was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock Creek Academy will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Whitefield Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Henryville, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Paoli at 7:30 p.m. on December 5.
