Knights beat Bronny and Sierra Canyon for the fourth time this season.

Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) defeated Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth) 80-61 on Tuesday night in the CIF Southern California Division I Regional final to end the highly-publicized high school basketball career of senior Bronny James, who finished with 10 points.

Five-star Duke signee Caleb Foster scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Knights to the Division I state title game where they face Granada (Livermore) on Friday. Sierra Canyon finishes the season 23-11 after losing six of their final 12 games.

Notre Dame led the contest wire-to-wire with the lead sitting around double-digits for the majority of the game. Every time Sierra Canyon scored a potential momentum-changing basket, the Knights responded with big baskets to stem the tide.

The Trailblazers also lost their previous three meetings against Notre Dame this season by an average of 16 points, including an 88-51 defeat last month.

James has had the spotlight shining brightly on him from his first game in a Sierra Canyon uniform. Fans have over-packed high school basketball gyms and filled NBA arenas to see him play. The program even took a preseason tour to England, France and Italy. The son of LeBron James was one of the most prominent newsmakers ever at the prep level.

Bronny carved his own path throughout his high school basketball career, playing varsity against a brutal national schedule each season and showing progress and development every step of the way.

As a senior, he averaged 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals and earned invitations to the McDonald's All-American Game and Nike Hoop Summit.

Although it appeared Sierra Canyon was poised to capture a state championship in 2019-20 before the pandemic hit, the Trailblazers were unable to capture a title during Bronny's career despite compiling a record of 95-22 over his four years.

The 6-foot-3 guard is regarded as the No. 33 prospect in the Class of 2023 according to 247Sports and is rumored to favor Ohio State, Oregon and USC as his top college options.

Eligible to enter the 2024 NBA Draft after one year of college hoops, Bronny was recently projected to be selected with the No. 10 pick in the NBA Draft by a Mock Draft according Jonathan Givony of ESPN.
