Softball Recap: Lawrence Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lawrence Academy never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on the Holmes Aces with a sharp 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Clair Ferebee, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Holmes off the board. Ferebee has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jaslene Ethridge was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Halstead, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

The victory was the third in a row for Lawrence Academy, bringing their record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Holmes, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Lawrence Academy will look to defend their home field on Monday against Pungo Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for Holmes, they will square off against Martin County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Gators' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Aces' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
