Softball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln and Corner squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lincoln had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Yellow Jackets by a score of 8-7. The Golden Bears were not able to make up for their loss to the Yellow Jackets from their previous meeting back in May of 2015.

Lincoln has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 28-23-1 record this season. As for Corner, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-24-1 record this season.

Lincoln has already played their next contest, a 5-4 defeat against Northside on the 5th. As for Corner, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 13-6 loss against Moody on the 5th.
