Volleyball Recap: Benicia Comes Up Short

After flying high against Vanden on Thursday, Benicia came back down to earth. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christian Brothers Falcons on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2017.

Gabby Muller paced Benicia's offense, picking up ten kills. Muller got some help from Lydia Flanagan and her eight assists. Piper Arcilla controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Benicia's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Christian Brothers, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Benicia has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Davis Sr. on the 6th. As for Christian Brothers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Bret Harte on the 6th.
