Soccer Recap: Catawba Ridge Takes a Loss

Catawba Ridge's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the South Point Red Raiders by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 goals in the game before, Catawba Ridge's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Catawba Ridge's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6. As for South Point, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2-2.

Coming up, Catawba Ridge will challenge Clover at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Point, they will square off against Huss at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. South Point are facing Huss at the right time seeing as Huss are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
