Volleyball Recap: Dominican Beats Oakfield for Their Second Straight Victory

If Oakfield wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Dominican, they should've done a better job of containing Gabby Johnson. The Knights were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Oaks on Tuesday for which the team can thank Johnson, who had ten digs and five aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

One reason for the win was Dominican's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 15-12.

Dominican has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Oakfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

After both having extra time off, Dominican and Shoreland Lutheran will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on September 4. As for Oakfield, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Ozaukee on the 27th.
