Softball Recap: Poyen Comes Up Short

If Poyen was riding high fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Fordyce last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians fell 6-2 to the Gurdon Go-Devils on Wednesday.

Poyen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Gurdon, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Poyen will host Woodlawn at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gurdon, they will head out to challenge Fordyce at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Go-Devils are facing the Redbugs at the right time seeing as the Redbugs are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
