Recap: Pierce City Eagles vs. Sheldon Panthers
The Pierce City Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Sheldon as Pierce City made off with a 67-42 win. Winning may never get old, but Pierce City sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Mariam Lamb and Wynsdae Connelly certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Lamb scored 23 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Connelly scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That was a full 54.8% of Sheldon's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Pierce City is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Sheldon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.
Pierce City will be playing at home against Miller at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Sheldon won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northeast at 6:45 p.m. on January 17th. Northeast is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
