Volleyball Game Preview: Eastlake Titans vs. Mt. Carmel Sundevils

The Eastlake Titans will head out on the road to challenge the Mt. Carmel Sundevils at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastlake is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, Eastlake didn't have quite enough to beat Granite Hills and fell 3-2.

While Eastlake ultimately came up short, they really made Granite Hills work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-19, 27-25, 22-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel lost 3-0 to San Dieguito Academy on Wednesday. The Sundevils haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-15.

Eastlake's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Mt. Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

Eastlake beat Mt. Carmel 2-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Eastlake repeat their success, or does Mt. Carmel has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
