Basketball Game Preview: Northampton Yellowjackets vs. Arcadia Firebirds

The Northampton Yellowjackets will head out on the road to challenge the Arcadia Firebirds at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Northampton had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 39-point drubbing they dealt King & Queen Central on Friday. Northampton breezed past King & Queen Central to the tune of 91-52. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Royal Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Arcadia came up short against Lancaster on Friday and fell 75-65.

Northampton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.0 points over those games. As for Arcadia, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

Northampton and Arcadia were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January, but Northampton came up empty-handed after a 79-78 loss. Can Northampton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
