Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cedar walked away with it. They came out on top against the Juab Wasps by a score of 23-16 on Friday. The Reds' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
It was another big night for Everett Kelling, who rushed for 87 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 131 yards and one TD. Braxton Demille helped out on the ground, rushing for 103 yards.
Cedar didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Daxton Demille and Keaton Cox. Cedar got some further help from Dax Wankier: he made 16 total tackles and defended one pass.
Cedar's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Juab, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Cedar wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 41-35 victory against Manti on the 15th. Juab does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
