Softball Game Preview: Nevada Union Miners vs. Laguna Creek Cardinals

The Nevada Union Miners are taking a road trip to challenge the Laguna Creek Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Nevada Union has given up an average of 9.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Nevada Union couldn't beat Placer on Thursday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fifth inning. The Miners came up short against the Hillmen, falling 20-10.

Meanwhile, Laguna Creek came up short against Sheldon on Wednesday and fell 5-2. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nikiya Jumpingbull was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Laguna Creek saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Rials, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Nevada Union's record is now 3-14-1. As for Laguna Creek, their record now sits at 8-10.
